THE ISTANBUL MEETING OF
THE ALLIANCE OF CIVILIZATIONS INITIATIVE
İSTANBUL
12-13 November 2006
 

 

 

The Action Plan to be prepared by the High Level Group within the framework of the Alliance of Civilizations Initiative aims at creating a sense of unity, an environment of harmony and cooperation and to reveal common universal values among different cultures.

 

The Action Plan is to be concluded at the final meeting of the High Level Group on 12 November 2006 in İstanbul Çırağan Palace and be presented at a ceremonial meeting on 13 November 2006 to the UN Secretary General H.E. Kofi ANNAN by the Turkish Prime Minister H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN and the Spanish Prime Minister H.E. Jose Luis Rodriguez ZAPATERO.   

 

            Members of the press who intend to cover the ceremony should apply for accreditation to the address below in person or by fax until 08 November 2006 Tuesday 6:00 pm with the enclosed accreditation form (which can be found in www.byegm.gov.tr) and a letter of accreditation from a recognized media organization and copy of  ID.

Requests to be received after the above-mentioned deadline will not be processed.

 

Members of the press should collect their accreditation cards in person from the Press Center to be established in the Çırağan Palace on 12 November 2006 by presenting ID cards with personal photograph.

 

            The Ceremony which is going to be held on 13 November 2006,  will be broadcasted live by Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).

 

            Up link Vans will not be allowed to enter the Çırağan Palace except TRT.
