15TH ANNIVERSARY SUMMIT OF THE ORGANIZATION OF THE BLACK SEA ECONOMIC COOPERATION (BSEC)

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

 

The 15^th Anniversary Summit of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) will be held on June 25, 2007 at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel in İstanbul with the participation of the heads of state or prime ministers, foreign ministers, high-level bureaucrats of the member states and delegations of observer countries. A Press Center will be established at the same hotel on June 24-25. 

 

Members of the press will be allowed to enter the conference hall twice for a limited period in order to take pictures and images. Apart from this, only the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and Anatolia News Agency (AA) will be allowed to cover the summit, and other media organizations which want access to the pictures and images must contact TRT or AA.

 

2. ACCREDITATION

 

Members of the press who wish to cover the summit should apply for accreditation to the address below in person or by fax by June 19.

 

a)      Members of the national press should legibly fill in the enclosed accreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their press card. (Media members without this press card should apply with a letter of authorization from their media organization and a copy of their official ID cards.)

 

b)     Resident members of the foreign press in Turkey should legibly fill in the enclosed accreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their press card and a copy of their passport.

 

c)      Members of the foreign press coming from abroad should legibly fill in the enclosed accreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their local press card, a letter of authorization from their media organization and a copy of their passport.

Incomplete applications and requests received after June 19 will not be processed.

 

3. ACCREDITATION CARDS

 

Applicants can get their accreditation cards from the press center located at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel on June 24-25, by showing their identity cards.

 

4. SECURITY  CONTROLS

 

All media representatives are hereby informed that security personnel at the Press Center will examine and may test any equipment and personal effects carried onto the site. To avoid delays, media representatives are kindly advised to arrive early, bearing in mind the security checks.
