| The turbeh of İsmail Fakirullah Efendi, one of the most prominent Moslem saints in Anatolia, is in Aydınlar. Inside this large and domed tomb with an interesting architecture, there is also the turbeh of İsmail Hakkı Efendi, the noted Turkish astronomer. Some examples of the studies by İsmail Hakkı Efendi who wrote 54 books and the instruments he used are on display in the Museum of Astronomy in Aydınlar. |

Noah’s City: Agriculture and animal husbandry are developed in the environs of Şırnak province lying at the foot of Mt. Cudi with an altitude of 2,114 meters. The name of the city, meaning “Noah’s city”, was formed by the combination of the words “Şır” meaning city and “Nak” meaning Noah. In Cizre, 45 km. from Şırnak, is a Prophet Noah Turbeh, said to belong to Noah. |
