Yavor Klisurski, Counsellor of the Bulgarian Embassy in Ankara paid a courtesy visit to the Directorate General of Press and Information. 

Director General of Press and Information Mehmet Akarca received Counsellor Klisurski at his office.

Counsellor Klisurski underlined Bulgarian people’s support for Turkey’s accession to the European Union during his visit ahead of the European Union-Turkey summit to be held in Varna with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Indicating that the people of Bulgaria saw President Erdoğan as a regional leader, Klisurski said: “We appreciate Turkey’s efforts for regional welfare. Bulgaria has always supported stability. It is therefore important for us to improve bilateral relations with Turkey.”

Receiving detailed information on the Directorate General of Press and Information, Counsellor Klisurski was pleased to hear that the doors of DGPI’s Press, Culture and Arts Centre was open for the embassy’s activities and events.
