30 thousand Syrian children living outside the camps were provided “social integration” training led by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies in order to minimize adaptation problems they face in their integration in society and their new lives.

The aim is to ensure social integration of Syrian children living outside the camps through Child Rights Provincial Child Committees thanks to “Social Integration Programs” introduced by the Ministry in cooperation with UNICEF. It is also intended to create a platform to ensure mutual dialogue and information exchange between Turkish and Syrian children.

First introduced by the Ministry in 2016, these programs are conducted in 18 provinces, primarily Ankara, Bursa, İstanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Konya, Kocaeli, Malatya, Edirne and Muğla, where the number of Syrian children living outside the camps is high.
