International journalists will take a closer look into the US decision on Jerusalem during a panel on Monday, January 15. Journalists will share their opinions on Jerusalem with the world once again through the Directorate General of Press and Information (DGPI).
First speaker of the panel, which will be moderated by Mehmet Akarca, Director General of Press and Information, will be war correspondent Francesca Borri, author of best seller books “Israelis and Palestinians” and “Syrian Dust”. Borri serves as a human rights expert besides her job as a journalist in Israel and Palestine. With numerous articles that appeared in Italian daily il Fatto Quotidiano, Internazionale and Al Monitor as well as Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Borri will share her opinions through the DGPI microphone this time.
The second speaker will be Russian journalist, presenter and political analyst Maxim Leonardovich Shevchenko. Having written numerous articles on the issue of Israel and Palestine, Shevchenko is also known for his close interest in the problems of Russia’s Muslim minority and the developments in this region.
The third speaker of the panel will be journalist and political analyst Mirnes Kovac from Bosnia Herzegovina. Kovac has important analyses on the political processes in the Middle East and the Balkans. He received 5 awards at the Cannes Lion 2017 Festival with his most recent book project “One”, which is a compilation of verses from the Quran and Bible on the themes of peace, mercy and solidarity.
The panel to be attended by Borri, Shevchenko and Kovac will be broadcasted live in 4 languages, namely Turkish, English, Russian and Arabic.
