Turkish Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gul, who retained his portfolio in the new government, pledged on Tuesday to ensure a fair and trustworthy justice system.

With the newly adopted government system, Gul told Anadolu Agency that Turkey is to be stronger, liberal and is to have a peaceful future.

Gul said: "As the government, we will establish a justice system ensuring trust, this is our fundamental approach."

He added that any malfunctions in the system will be eliminated through yet-to-be-established mechanisms.

Underscoring that the Justice Ministry will establish further legal order, freedom and justice, he said: "None of our citizens will be factionalized due to their ethnicity, where they were born, their beliefs or lifestyle."

"Our people in Izmir's Kordon, in Diyarbakir's Sur or Samsun or Antalya will all experience this feeling. We are trying to create the feeling that Turkey has a just system," he added.

Gul further said that the new system of government would provide a more people-oriented approach.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday unveiled the new 16-minister Cabinet, the first ever under the new presidential system.
